Symptoms

The production environment is experiencing a constant increase of the number of open file handlers caused by the siebmtshm.


They all reference /dev/urandom which is typically associated with random number generators and/or encryption functions.


Eventually after 2-3 days the server reaches a huge number of open file handlers and stops servicing requests, forcing a full restart of the enterprise.
