DISA Patch Upgrade upon pushing to users' browser getting error 404 Error, Page Not Found

After upgrade the DISA version to the latest 20.12, DISA fails to open/edit the attachment.
If we uninstall and do a clean reinstall it works fine. But we want the patch upgrade to work as we have automated scripts in place to upgrade.
Customer automatically pushed DISA upgrade installation to users desktop via custom batch script (this is not supported).
As a result when starting DISA , the user was getting a blank page and a 404 Error, Page Not Found.
Also DISA logs did not have any info at all.
When installing DISA manually - there was no issue , DISA worked as expected, logs got created with needed info.
