Error Message Is Not Dispalyed In Application, When the Error Is Received From Applet User Property(Named Method) (Doc ID 2797174.1)

Symptoms

Error Message from Workflow/Business Service is not displayed in UI when Business Service/Workflow is triggered using Named Method User Property

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Launch Siebel Tools

2. Go to Applet Object in Object Explorer, Query for any list Applet , create a control and map the control using Web Tools.

For Example for applet SIS Account List Applet , create new control with name 'Test' and  method as 'Test'. Map the control using Web Tools

3. Create Business Service with name as 'Test' and include script to throw error message.

4. Add Named Method User Property for Applet in Step 2 to invoke Business Service created in step 3

Example: SIS Account List Applet

Named Method 1: Test

Value 'INVOKESVC', 'Test' ,'Test'

5. Deliver the changes

6. Launch Siebel Application and go to applet in step 2 ,Click on the button to trigger the Named Method created in step 4.

For Example:Go to Accounts Screen>>All Accounts View . Click on the "Test" button, to trigger the Named Method 'Test'

Result : The error message should show up in User Interface, However there is no message shown to the user.
