Object Manager Does Not Start Due to Failed Authentication When set to Use Directory Authentication Instead of DB Authentication With SBL-SVC-00208 Error (Doc ID 2804774.1)

Symptoms


Object manager fails to start due to failed authentication as seen in the Object Manager component logs located in the SES_HOME\siebsrvr\log directory.
On component startup when the OM component is set to use directory authentication instead of DB authentication, the component fails start with the following messages in the component log. This occurs during enterprise restart or just component restart, same behavior for the component.

 

Changes

 Implement directory authentication for the OM instead of DB authentication. This was done by setting the LDAPSecAdpt profile in the UI in  the Siebel Server Administration Screen "Profile configuration" with the directory details, then setting the OM component parameters-   SecAdpt to LDAPSecAdpt and  SecAdptMode to LDAP. In this case changes were done in Siebel Call Center  (SCCObjMgr_enu component). Once changes were made a restart of enterprise was done for the profile configuration (LDAPSecAdpt) to become effective
