OBIEE was updated from 10g to 12c in a two step upgrade process (10g -> 11g -> 12c). When running 'Update Count' on Segment Trees, the following error was observed:
'Update Count' on Segments and newly created Segment Trees work fine, so the issue appears to be with Segment Trees upgraded from 10g.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Log into the OBIEE 12c analytics URL.
2. Edit one of the Segment Trees that was upgraded from OBIEE 10g.
3. Click the 'Update Count' to update the count of the Segment Tree.
The error occurs and is displayed on the page.
Due to this issue, 'Update Count' on previous Segment Trees in 10g no longer works in 12c
