Discrepancy In Siebel Versions In Application UI And In Database Level (Doc ID 2812261.1)

Symptoms

This customer is concerned by the discrepancy between Siebel versions at Database (SELECT S_APP_VER.APP_VER;) and Application level. The customer is looking to upgrade to latest Siebel version.


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
There is a discrepancy between the Siebel versions at application and database level.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Siebel version should be the same for both application and database.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Check the Siebel version in application -> Help -> Technical Support
2. Check the Siebel version in DB by running SELECT APP_VER FROM S_APP_VER;
3. Acknowledge the discrepancy between Siebel versions (App level - > 8.1.1.11, DB Level -> 8.1.1, in this particular example)
