Output Arguments Type of Process Property for Sub Process step is changing To Literal Instead Of Output Argument While Importing WF into Siebel Tools (Doc ID 2813562.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 12, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel Workflow - Version 21.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Siebel Tools to import a workflow process from an xml file, the workflow process is imported successfully, but some of the Business Service Output Argument Type shows up as Type = 'Literal' when they are actually defined in the xml file as Type = 'Output Argument'.

Steps to Replicate the Issue:

1.  Export any workflow XML in Tools from one workspace

2.  Create another workspace

3.  Import workflow XML which was exported and check output argument type of any process property

4.  View the workflow process business service step > Output Argument applet details

5. For many of the output argument records, it shows the following:

               Type:                                   Literal

Output Argument:                <set to some output argument name>

This isn't correct, if the process property is set to an output argument name, then the Type should be "Output Argument" and not as "Literal"

Changes

Update the Siebel application server and Siebel Tools to patchset 21.3 and above.
