Activity Records Is Updated When Selected Without Making Any Change (Doc ID 2815867.1)

Symptoms

Activity records are updated when searched at the application level.

This is visible when checking the About record pop-up from the application.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login into the Siebel application.
  2. Navigate to Activities view.
  3. Search for a specific activity ID.
  4. Check About Record > Last Updated on , or in DB for LAST_UPD.
  5. The value is updated with the query time.

 Siebel Upgrade from 8.1.1.3 to 21.4
