Siebel Migration Application (SMA) Plans Fail on Export Or Import Steps on IBM AIX - Error 'SBL-UIF-00229: Error occurred while opening file' is Found (Doc ID 2819860.1)

Symptoms

When trying to simply generate a Watermark file or to run a migration plan to perform an export or an import it fails right after submission.

In the EAIObjMgr log file, which can be found under SIEBEL_ROOT/siebsrvr/enterprises/<enterprise_name>/<siebel_server_name>/log directory the SBL-UIF-00229 is found:


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create an asynchronous full migration plan for import
2. Verify the migration profile has its Migration Package Location defined as a NFS share
3. Place the exported from the source on the Migration Package Location
4. Run the import full migration plan
5. It fails on the step related to GetWatermark read
