Symptoms
Siebel RR(RunTime Repository) Instance is updated from 21.4 to 21.10/21.11/21.12 and PostInstallDBsetup also completed successfully. But it contains errors upd_sql.out and import_schema_sif.log as below:
There are no errors in DR (Dev) environment when the same 21.10/21.11/21.12 applied, also REP_VER_NUM is properly in DR. Issue reported for RR environments like Test, QA and Production.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Applied 21.10/21.11/21/12 on top of 21.4 in RR instance
2. Binaries updated without any issues
3. PostInstallDBsetup step completed with any errors
4. But in logs, errors reported for upd_sql.out, siebdevcli.log & import_schema_sif.log step exit
5. The errors shows import_schema_sif did not run
