Symptoms

ODBCSQL connection fails during pre-upgrade tasks.

Binaries were installed on new servers with an existing database. During the pre-upgrade process, the dbenv.sh and db2cli.ini were created and the .odbc.ini was updated.

While testing the ODBC connection , the following error occurs in odbcsql:
 

Db2connect works, but the ODBC connection fails.
