Silent Enterprise Configuration produces Extra Slashes in the Filesystem Parameter and Encrypts the User Password (Doc ID 2834477.1)

When automating the Siebel Enterprise Profile Creation process as an alternative to manually using the Siebel Management Console (SMC).

The following errors occur when running the Siebel Enterprise Silent Configuration.

1. The Enterprise name does not comply with the Siebel Enterprise Profile Naming conventions and the profile can not be saved after editing.

Only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and underscore (_) are allowed. The length must be between 3 and 32.

2. There are additional slashes in the File System name.

3. The Authentication User Password is encrypted

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Perform a Siebel Installation and save the Response file.

2. Run the <siebel home>\ses\config\config.bat with the generated Response file.

3. Access the Siebel Enterprise Profile created by the Silent Configuration from the SMC.

4. Observe the errors in the Silent Configuration of the Siebel Enterprise Profile.

The Automated Silent Configuration for the Siebel Enterprise Profile Creation does not match the manual creation of the Siebel Enterprise Profile.
