Symptoms
When automating the Siebel Enterprise and Siebel Server Profile Creation process as an alternative to manually using the Siebel Management Console (SMC).

The following errors occur when running the Siebel Enterprise and Siebel Server Silent Configuration.
1. The Enterprise and Siebel Server name does not comply with the Siebel Enterprise and Siebel Server Profile Naming conventions. The Enterprise and Siebel Server profile can not be saved after editing.
Only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and underscore (_) are allowed. The length must be between 3 and 32.
2. There are additional slashes in the File System name.
3. The Authentication User Password is encrypted
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-----------------------
1. Perform a Siebel Installation and save the Response file.
2. Run the <siebel home>\ses\config\config.bat with the generated Response file.
3. Access the Siebel Enterprise or Siebel Server Profile created by the Silent Configuration from the SMC.
4. Observe the errors in the Silent Configuration of the Siebel Enterprise or Siebel Server Profile.
Changes
The Automated Silent Configuration for the Siebel Enterprise or Siebel Server Profile Creation does not match the manual creation of the Siebel Enterprise or Siebel Server Profile.
