Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An EIM task is started which processes data from the EIM_ACCOUNT table, EIM will merge two accounts together as part of this process.

When the EIM task runs, it takes a long time to process even 1 pair of records of merging, even one pair takes up 10 minutes and a batch of 14 records takes hours.

While the EIM task runs, it issues a SQL like this which is captured from EIM log:

Steps to replicate:

  1. Update IFB file for Merge using EIM_ACCOUNT table.
  2. Submit EIM task from UI or server manager
  3. Invoke EIM task.

    SELECT T_MERGED_ROW_ID
    FROM SIEBEL.EIM_ACCOUNT IT
    WHERE (T_MERGED_ROW_ID IS NOT NULL AND
    IF_ROW_BATCH_NUM = :V1 AND
    IF_ROW_STAT_NUM = 0) AND
    EXISTS (SELECT 'F' FROM SIEBEL.S_EVT_ACT BT
    WHERE IT.T_DELETED_ROW_ID = BT.TARGET_OU_ID)
    GROUP BY T_MERGED_ROW_ID;
