Fast Search Error "Current Search Specification is too Complex to be Refined"

Symptoms
Users noticing an error with Siebel Standard Fast Search on Contacts and Accounts. There is a custom script on PreQuery on Contact and Account BC which helps the End-users to Search on the Account Alias Field. If the script is removed from PreQuery and also removed the Alias Field from the Find Objects, the Fast search runs without errors.
Steps to reproduce.
- Login to Siebel OM
- On Homepage in the Toolbar area (right side) for Advanced Options, selected Advanced Find in the first textbox selected Account.
