Last updated on MARCH 09, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 21.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the following conditions are met in Siebel repository, a new screen can be seen in Screen Homepages applet in View Links view.

  1. The screen is added to 'Application'->'Screen'.
  2. The default view for the screen is home page view.

This was working in the old version, but it does not work on 21.10.

The issue can be replicated with the steps below:

  1. Login to Siebel Call Center and go to 'Site Map'->'Administration - Application'->'View Links'.
  2. Make sure that you see 'Accounts' in the 'Sceen Homepages' applet.
  3. Login to Siebel Tools and create/open a dev workspace.
  4. Go to 'Application' object list and select 'Siebel Universal Agent'.
  5. Go to 'Application'->'Screen Menu Item'.
  6. Select 'Accounts Screen' and set Inactive = True.
  7. Go to 'Screen' and select 'Accounts Screen'.
  8. Change 'Default View' from 'Account Screen Homepage View' to 'Account List View'.
  9. Deliver the changes.
  10. Restart Siebel server or SCCObjMbr_enu component.
  11. Login to Siebel Call Center and go to 'Site Map'->'Administration - Application'->'View Links'.
  12. Now you don't see 'Accounts' in the 'Screen Homepage' applet.
  13. In Siebel Tools, create/open another dev workspace and revert the changes in step 6 and 8.
  14. Deliver the changes.
  15. Restart Siebel server or SCCObjMgr_enu component.
  16. Login to Siebel Call Center and go to 'Site Map'->'Administration - Application'->'View Links'.
  17. The 'Accounts' is not displayed.
