One of the Siebel Application Server In Enterprise Not working When Using Cluster Gateway With The Following Error Code (SBL-JCA-00200) (Doc ID 2871552.1)

Symptoms

After performing upgrade from 8.1.1.14 to 21.4, one of the five servers is not working in cluster gateway.

Having Siebel with multiple servers in a Cluster with 3 or 5 nodes, one of the Siebel servers is not responding - experiencing the error: "Error: Could not create a connection to Server. The server is experiencing difficulties."

After the restart, it is working on that server but another will not work. Another test was to restart the Siebel service only on the affected server after this is done the server was working again but another server stopped responding, and its components continue to be up and green."

The architecture:

5 internal AI's, 5 Siebel servers, and 5 gateway's clustered. When testing without a cluster gateway (only with one gateway node), all the servers worked.

 

 

To replicate this issue perform the following step:

1. Install Siebel with more Siebel servers and more AIs.

2. Install gateway cluster .

3. Test the object manager URL.

4. The object manager will fail with the following error logs:

 

siebelapplicationcontainer_siebel_home_s_siebel_external-stderr.log

 

Changes

 The issue was triggered by installing cluster gateway.
