Inbound Email Processing Failed with Errors "LOGIN failed", "AuthenticationFailed" After Enabling OAuth 2.0 on Office 365 and Applying Siebel 22.8 Patch (Doc ID 2895022.1)

Symptoms

On : 22.8 version, Comms Server & Email Response

As mentioned in Doc ID 2673098.1 to support oAuth 2.0 on Outlook 365 customer applied Siebel 22.8 patch and configured Driver Parameters to Support Microsoft OAuth 2.0 as mentioned in Bookshelf document "Configuring Driver Parameters to Support Microsoft OAuth 2.0". After doing these changes inbound emails are not processed from Outlook 365 mail box to Siebel and failed with below errors

IMAPSMTP log contain below errors 

 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Setup email response on Siebel 22.8
2. Try to connect to mail boxes which supports oAuth 2.0
3. Notice inbound emails processed properly or not

Changes

After applying 22.8 patch and enabling oAuth 2.0 on Outlook 365 profile
