SHA2 Cannot Be Selected As Hash Alghorithm When Updating Security Profile Through SafeMode Console (Doc ID 2898983.1)

Symptoms


SHA2 cannot be selected when Gateway Security Profile is re-created using SMC console in SafeMode.

Below is a screenshot depicting the screen where the issue occurs:



Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Siebel 21.12 and configure the Gateway Security Profile
2. Set up the safe mode console for SMC as per instructions in:
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/F26413_35/books/Secur/c-Configure-the-SMC-Safe-Mode-User.html#ConfigureTheSMCSafeMode-8D9356EF
3. Log in to safe mode console for SMC and attempt to re-create the Gateway Security Profile using "Hash Password" and "SHA2"

4.Under the Data Sources Tab, add a new Data Source
5.Drop down on the newly created Data Source and check the "Hash User Password"
6. Attempt to select SHA2 as the hash algorithm
