EAI Outbound Calls From Linux Platform To HTTPS URL Fail With Error "SBL-SVR-07000: Performance Warning: Named Subsystem JavaContainerSubsys was not found in the shared memory" (Doc ID 2899734.1)

Symptoms

 

The solution steps in this KM article here only applies up to Siebel 23.10 version; it does not apply to Siebel versions 23.11 and above.

If the same error is encountered on Siebel 23.11 and above, please follow the instructions from KM Doc Doc ID 2226450.2 below to properly import the third certificates into the Siebel SES applicationcontainer_internal for both Windows and Linux/Unix OS Platform:

In particular, follow the instructions in tab [VIII. Setup SHA2 Certificate for 23.11 and above] of the KM Doc 2226450.2

When Siebel object manager runs on a Linux or Unix OS and sends an outbound call to an external system having an HTTPS URL, it encounters an error.

The following error shows up in the AOM log file:


Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Configure Siebel application to invoke an Outbound web service call to an external system.

The instructions from the following documentation was followed to perform initial configure/set up step:

Siebel Bookshelf > Siebel Integration Platform Technologies:Siebel Enterprise Application Integration Guide > 5: Web Services > section "Consuming External Web Services Using Siebel Web Services"

2. Log into Siebel application and invoke the outbound web service call as follows:

a. Log into Siebel Client UI application

b. Navigate to the Business Service Simulator View

c. Specify the proxy business service and method for the Outbound web service

d. Submit the simulation request.


3. The Outbound Web Service will send a request to a 3rd party URL that uses https protocol.


4. The reported error occurs at this point.
