In Attachments Views, Required Field SBL-DAT-00498 Popup Error Repeatedly Occurs After Dismissal (Doc ID 2908428.1)

Symptoms

If a field in an "Attachment" Business Component such as "Service Request Attachment " is made "Required", clicking in "New File" will display the "Required Field" Error.

Clicking "OK" does not dismiss the error and the popup error continues to display.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1- Using the "Service Request Attachment" Business Component as an example, set the Comments fields to be required in Siebel Tools or Webtools.
2- In the Application, go to the Service Request > Attachment View and click on the "New File" button.
3- Select any file and click OK.
4- Place the cursor to the top parent applet  and click anywhere. The "Required Field" Error will be displayed.

5- Click on the "OK" button to dismiss the error popup.
6- After you click on the "OK" button, the error message will show up again and again.

Changes

 Make any field in an Attachment BC as 'Required' via Siebel Tools or Siebel Web Tools.
