Siebel Server Command Line To Create Named Subsystem Does Not Populate Profile (Full Name) and Description Fields (Doc ID 2915232.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 15.0 [IP2015] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the Siebel Server Manager Command Line sample from Siebel Bookshelf, the named subsystem is created but the Profile (Full Name) and Description Fields are not populated, they are left blank.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Follow the Siebel Server Manager Command Line example from Siebel Bookshelf to create a new named subsystem:

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/F26413_34/books/SystAdm/c-Named-Subsystem-Management-Commands--am1005078.html#am1005078

Sample command:

3. The new named subsystem is created and can be seen in the Siebel Client UI > Administration - Server Configuration > Enterprises > Named Subsystems.

However, the new subsystem does not have the Profile (Full Name) or Description fields populated, these 2 fields are empty/blank. Without the Description field, it is difficult to understand what this subsystem is intended for.
