The steps below can be followed to explain the reported behavior:

1. Configure the parameters for Microsoft OAuth 2.0 support as per https://docs.oracle.com/cd/F26413_32/books/eMail/c-Configuring-Driver-Parameters-to-Support-MS-OAuth-2.0.html#cf1004279 details.

2. For the first two parameters, Enable Microsoft OAuth2 and Microsoft OAuth2 URL, an extra blank space is added in front of the parameters. Note: The extra blank space will force the Siebel application to use the “Basic Authentication” method.

3. No emails are received from the Mailbox and the following error is received in the IMAPSMTP_***.log file:
