Existing Automation Scripts Failed While Execution After Upgrade to Siebel 23 Due to Changes in Applet Title, Aria-label (Doc ID 2965600.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading Siebel application from IP15 to Siebel 23.X, existing automation scripts failed while execution. It was observed that changes in Xpath:aria-label caused the automation script execution failure.

Siebel 15 Xpath:aria-label="Comm Status:New customer"
Siebel 23 Xpath:aria-label="Comm Status Form Applet:New customer"

  1. Perform Siebel upgrade from IP15 to 23.x. 
  2. Try to execute the existing test scripts in Siebel application
  3. Notice that script execution is successful or not
