Symptoms
Attributes for grand child products are not associated under the Sales Order Line Item Attributes applet when the grand child product is added through an RCOIS workflow for a Modify Order and with Remote Product Configurator is enabled.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enable Remote Product Configurator following the documentation here.
2. Create the following product structure.
Parent
- Child
-- Grand Child
3. Create Attributes for the 'Grand Child' product.
4. Create an Account.
5. Create a Sales Order with the Account associated.
6. Add the Parent and Child products to the Line of the Sales Order.
7. Submit the Order.
8. Perform Auto Asset of the lines. This should create Assets in the Account Summary view (Accounts > Account Summary).
9. Select the Parent product and press the 'Modify' button to modify the asset, which will create a new Sales Order.
10. Create a workflow that executes the Remote Complex Object Instance Service (RCOIS) business service to configure the product.
11. Use the workflow to add and modify the quantity of the 'Grand Child' product to the line.
12. The 'Grand Child' is added as a line item to the order, but the attributes are missing from the line (Sales Order -> Line Item -> Attributes).
