The Deployment Of Siebel Server Is Failing Due To "Anonymous User Login Name Should Not Be sadmin" Error (Doc ID 3007770.1)

Symptoms

While attempting to deploy a Siebel Server, the Siebel Server deployment fails. The error can be noticed in the Siebel Management Console with a red dot in the Deployment section.

The error can be seen in config_timestamp.log located under <siebel_root>\cfgtoollogs\cfg:

<deployment_time_stamp> oracle.siebel.configurator.screen.ConfiguratorFrame$nextActionListener validateRule
FINER: Validate Rule Return Value: false
<deployment_time_stamp> oracle.siebel.configurator.screen.ConfiguratorFrame$nextActionListener silentConfig
INFO: Anonymous User Login Name should not be sadmin

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Configure IP15.X or 16.X to use SADMIN as the Anonymous user id prior to migration installation.


2. Apply the latest Siebel IP 2017+ release using migration installation.


3. Error encountered during deployment of Siebel Server.

Changes

Perform migration installation from Siebel pre-IP 2017 to Siebel IP 2017+.
