Symptoms

Some mail attachments are coming to Siebel with the name applicationoctet-stream1.bin instead of PDF.

Changes

The file "applicationoctet-stream1.bin" is an octet-stream MIME Attachment (Binary) file.

The application/octet-stream MIME type is used for unknown binary files. It preserves the file contents, but requires the receiver to determine file type e.g from the filename extension.
