SSSE: Inbound Synchronization Removed Attendee From Activity, When Email Account Are Being Used By Multiple Contacts Or Employees (Doc ID 3039311.1)

Symptoms

Inbound synchronization removes attendees from the activity. When the same email accounts are being used by multiple contacts or employees. The following error message below are getting captured on the PIMSIEng log:

Attendee (,,xxxxx@xxxx.com) could not be resolved to a valid employee or a valid contact record. Either no records were returned or more than one record was returned. The attendee is considered an outsider.

 

Step to reproduce the issue:

1. Login to SSSE using user(TEST1)... This Employee is using the following email account below and is under Position(Sales Rep) and Responsibility(Sales Representative - SSSE):

"test1@xxxxxxx.xxxxxxx.com"

2. I have created two contacts ("Test 1 Siebel 1" and "Test 2 Siebel 2") The following email account below are being used by these contacts:

"test2@xxxxxxx.xxxxxx.com"

3. The contact("Test 2 Siebel 2") is under Contact Team(Sales Rep) and it was set to "Add to Sync List".

4. Syncronie the contact(Test 2 Siebel 2) to Outlook.

5. On Outlook(TEST1), create a new activity and add it as an attendee(Test 2 Siebel 2).

6. The record was synchronized to Siebel but without Contact(Test 2 Siebel 2).
