The Field Service PM Plan Functionality is Executing on Only One Asset Even When Multiple Assets are Selected (Doc ID 3060808.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 26, 2024

Applies to:

Siebel Field Service - Version 24.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After updating to Siebel 24.3, the 'PM Plan' functionality is no longer executing on multiple assets even when they are selected. It is executing only on the last asset selected. This was working previously in Siebel 19.12.

When selecting multiple assets and clicking the 'Run PM' button, expectation is that it would execute on all assets selected as in previous versions.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to: Assets > List > Preventive Maintenance

2. Use Ctrl+LeftMouseClick to select multiple assets. In the case below, two assets are selected

3. Click on the 'PM Plan' button. The plan is executed for the first asset below as we can see a new PM Action has been created

4. However, if you select the second assets, there are no PM Action created, so the PM Plan did not execute for this asset

Previously in version Siebel 19.12, it would also execute on the second asset as well. Because of the change in functionality, users now would need to run the 'PM Plan' on one asset at a time, which can be time consuming.

Changes

Siebel was updated from 19.12 to 24.3
