Siebel Silent Installer May Install the Same Version Already Installed (Doc ID 3076852.1)

Symptoms

A response file created to update Siebel, e.g., from 24.7 to 25.1, if used to run the silent installation in Siebel 25.1, will run the same 25.1 installation on top of 25.1.

 

Changes

 Run the Siebel installer to update Siebel to a recent IP17+ version, such as 25.1 and use it in other servers to process a silent installation.
