Purpose

External Business Components (EBC) are available in Siebel Business Application version 7.7. To access EBC you need to create a separate data source with a valid user. For more information about EBC, please see the Siebel Bookshelf version 7.7 > Integration Platform Technologies: Siebel eBusiness Application Integration Volume ll > External Business Components. This Technical Note explains how to setup a user for the external data source when a security adapter is used.
