Symptoms

A customer noticed Siebel was generating XML namespaces for all XML tags. This was generating a big overhead in size since their integration object structure was big.

Below is the structure Siebel was generating:

<serviceAddressing xmlns="http://siebel.com/2005/06/StandardHeader/">
<from xmlns="http://siebel.com/2005/06/StandardHeader/">URL</from>
<to xmlns="http://siebel.com/2005/06/StandardHeader/">
<address xmlns="http://siebel.com/2005/06/StandardHeader/">URL</address>
</to>
</serviceAddressing>

And the structure the customer wanted was:

<serviceAddressing xmlns:mX="http://siebel.com/2005/06/StandardHeader/">
<mX:from>URL</from>
<mX:to>
<mX:address>URL</address>
</to>
</serviceAddressing>
