Goal

While searching a contact by phone number, by email address, by last name etc, it would result a LIKE clause to be included in the predicate, causing long running queries. Although the columns in which this LIKE clause is applied are indexed, they are not picked up as per the execution plan. The DBA suggested that enabling "_like_with_bind_as_equality"=TRUE results the correct execution path and ensures fast performance.

Since this is an un-documented parameter, is there any possible side-effects/impacts of setting this parameter?
