We have a workflow which inserts a record into a custom BC based on activity table using a Siebel Process Step.
First time the workflow is run for a user session it takes > 20 seconds to perform this step
Subsequently this step only takes < 2 seconds (when I am within the same user session) if I log back in again, rerun the workflow it's >20 seconds again.
If I create the same record through the UI there is no time delay.
This happens both on dedicated and web client.
I have attached a object manager log file, which shows some time delays at the time of the insert under "buffer wraps" which seems to be the cause of the time delay.
What are buffer wraps and what is causing this delay?
