We have seen several cases where two different EIM jobs have no records to process and one job returns a successful completion status and the other returns a 'SBL-EIM-00426 All batches in run failed' status. Both EIM tasks have information in the log file detailing that no records were processed, but only one returns an error. The inconsistency in the EIM return code has caused the client to have little faith in the process. They schedule the jobs via a mainframe CA-7 job and the results of the EIM task are passed back to the job scheduler. Task failures cause people to be called during off hours... thereby increasing the pain.
Any thoughts as to why these processes return different return codes?
