In the Siebel Communications Server guide, it suggests that you can use the Outbound comm manager to send files to an external FTP site, as used for sending lists to marketing agencies. However, it mentions that you can use it outside of marketing as well.

We are trying to get a simple workflow to use that functionality to send a file to an FTP server. We have setup the Comm profile and driver for the FTP server but are unclear now how to call that profile. We have tried a number of combinations of the methods on the Bus Service Outbound Communications Manager without any luck.

Is there some other way that we are supposed to utilize the comm profile in order to achieve the result of posting a file to an ftp server through workflow or script ?
