"Remote System Preferences" View Missing From Siebel Version 8.X (Doc ID 494890.1)

Symptoms

It was reported that it was no longer possible to disable the constraint of enforcing special characters in passwords for the Siebel application in version 8.0.

In versions prior to 8.0, this was achieved through the setting a checkmark within the Application Administration > System Preference view within the application.

In version 8.0 this setting is under Site Map > Administration - Siebel Remote > Remote System Preferences.

It was reported that in some cases, the Remote System Preferences view may not be available in the application.
