We are currently investigating on UTC feature with Siebel 7.8
I have read the following on Bookshelf for Siebel Business Applications Version 7.8 - November 2005:
CAUTION: Once you have already deployed your Siebel applications using UTC and created user date-time data in UTC format, it is not supported to stop using UTC by setting the Universal Time Coordinated system preference to FALSE. Otherwise, incorrect time stamp values may be created and displayed.
1. How should we do in order to stop using UTC in the case where we have to stop uisng UTC?
what are the processes to be taken place to achieve that?
2. After Siebel "out the box" installation, UTC is by default enabled, correct?
If we want to turn off UTC then does it just consist of setting Universal Time Coordinated to FALSE in system preferences screen OR is there any additional step?
3. In case we first turn off UTC after install then we turn it on again, what is the impact from a data stanpoint? Which action should be taken to make sure all the date and time field will be correctly interpreted?
