We have built a number of interfaces for our project between IBM Websphere and the SIebe Configurator engine. For one of our interfaces, (InitiliazeSession) we see very poor performance in the java data bean.
The problem is that the time spent in calling the method "InitializeSession" through java data bean is much bigger ( in magnitude ) than the time spent within the business service, we believe this is because of the large property set input. It does not happen for method "RequestResponse" whose input property set is relatively small.
We can reproduce this by taking Websphere out of the picture and passing the data directly using XML.
