Symptoms

While implementing the Siebel Sales 7.8.2.3 with SSSE integration, customer was able to synchronize the contacts from Siebel to Outlook, but not able to sync the contacts from Outlook to Siebel.

The sync was working from Exchange to Siebel but after changing the script PreWriteRecord on the Contact BC it stopped working.

The script is to ensure that for a contact you have the following data:

(First Name AND Last Name AND Account Name) AND
(Job Title or Job Function) AND
(Work Phone# or Work Email# or Address1)

This worked fine for the records created in the GUI.
