Embedding a web applet (Doc ID 502072.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2017

Applies to:

Siebel Tools - Version [16061] and later
z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows 2000
Product Release: V7 (Enterprise)
Version: [16061]
Database: Oracle
Application Server OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP 3
Database Server OS: Sun Solaris 5.6

After upgrading Siebel 99.5 to Siebel 7, posting "Embedding External Web Application into Siebel 7.0.4 using Symbolic URL. (Doc ID 476838.1)" was used to implement an embedded web page in the  application.

After creating a symbolic URL reocord and navigating to the view, the following error is displayed:
Invalid search specification '"<IFRAME SRC='start.swe?SWECmd=GotoView&SWEView=DC1+NHTSA+Locator+View' width='100%' height='99%' frameborder=0 ></IFRAME>" '. Please continue or ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration if the problem persists.

The same error is received when navigating to a different Form Applet based on the same BC. However, if navigating to a List Applet based on a different BC, it works fine.
