Do you know how I can run an external job from inside a Siebel Job?
In other words, I need to execute a SQL procedure to copy data into the Siebel EIM Tables.
At the end of which I would need to run the EIM job to do the importing.
I currently do it from the SQL Server side. At the end of the procedure, the procedure shells out
to run from cmd prompt
D:\siebsrvr\bin\srvrmgr /g USSIEBEL /e siebel /s USSIEBEL /u admin_user /p xxxx /i D:\siebsrvr\admin\PRODUCTSKU.txt
This works fine in Version 6 because the database and the Siebel server resides on the same
machine. Our current setup, the database and the Siebel server are on seperate machines.
One suggestion was given to run srvrmgr on a dedicated client on a workstation.
Is that doable? How do we set it up? What's involved?
