We are implementing the F5 - Big IP Hardware third party load balancer for our application object manager load balancing on our Siebel Servers. By default, we know that Round Robin rules schemes are used. After thoroughly reading through <Document 477835.1>, which is specific to the configuration of the F5 Load Balancer with Siebel Servers, we have determined that we would like to move towards the Open Connections or Server Load or Resource Availability load balancer schemes.
Once we generate and cleanse the lbconfig.txt file using the Siebel Server manager, the file produces a section for Round Robin rules only. This file is eventually compiled and used in conjunction with the F5 Load Balancer configuration utility.
My questions for you are: How do we go about implementing these alternative load balancing schemes? Is this all done on the F5 configuration side, or are their changes that must be made to the lbconfig.txt that tells the F5 load balancer which scheme to use?
