Symptoms

We have an issue with our Siebel Sync configuration and integration with Lotus Notes.

When a user tries to synchronise their Siebel and Notes calendars on our shared desktops (eg hot desks), two or three seconds after pressing the synchronise button, the message "Operation completed successfully" is displayed but on further investigation, no synchronisation takes place.

In our attempts in trying to find a solution to this, we clicked on the 'Configure' button, and then 'Choose' and then 'OK' followed by 'OK' taking us back to the first window. When we then try to synchronise again after these steps, we are prompted to enter our Notes password and then the synchronisation completes successfully displaying the dialogue box to inform how many entries are being created/updated in both applications.

These steps will not be acceptable for standard users - we need to solve the underlying problem that prevents the Notes password prompt from being displayed until this sequence of buttons have been pressed.

Please note that this is a critical issue that will prevent us from going live with the application this weekend if not resolved.
