Siebel Report Server (7.7.2) currently installs a very old version of Tomcat (v4.0.6 is 3 years old!) which is causing us some problems with SSL Certificates.

Our security standards demand that we enable SSL browsing for all applications, including the Actuate report viewer.

In order to have a single SSL certificate on our web servers, we’ve had to downgrade our certificate from PFX (Windows IIS) -> pkcs12 -> KeyStore (Tomcat). This solution is not acceptable given its complexity and possible maintenance nightmare.

Is there a better alternative out there? Or is it possible to upgrade the Tomcat component to version 5? Is this something that is planned for 7.8?
