Symptoms
Customer reported the following:
Whilst checking the installation of theSiebel Enterprise Server, we have attempted an ODBC connection, (odbcsql /u system /p password /s ADMD1), which fails with the following:
Logging into "ADMD1" as "system" ...
ODBC error 00000 in SQLConnect:
Unknown ODBC error!
(native error 0).
Unable to login using specified ODBC parameters.
We have checked through all environment variables and all other recommended settings,
Running truss against the odbcsql call showed a lot of merant odbc libraries not being found, and on checking the ${SIEBEL_ROOT}/lib/odbc/merant directory only contains 3 files:
base.txt
enu.txt
libodbc.so
Is this the correct amount?
