We are developing an eService solution that will be triggered from our self service portal for certain specific tasks. eService will be started in a new browser window, and SSO functionality will log the user on. When the user has finished, we would like him to press a (custom) button that logs him off the Siebel application and closes the IE window. We have tried to create a logoff page that closes the browser window, but how can we call the logoff function from a minibutton in a list applet (in eService) instead of using the Log In/Out link in the header.
We have tried to create a hyperlink in the buttons caption property: Exit. This only makes the browser hang. If we set the link in the WebApplet_ShowControl function, the result is the same, but with a standard underlined link instead of a button (and we don't want that...).
Is there a way to make this work as intended?
The logoff link usually works if we type it in the browsers address bar, but sometimes we get redirected to the login page. Any ideas why?
