Symptoms
This is regarding the Search Functionality in Siebel.
The Resultset returned from the Search functionality is not alphabetically sorted.
For example,if a user has access to My Team's Accounts and he performs a query on Account field (using binocular Search), the result set is not sorted on Account Name.
We have done the initial analysis and found out that 'All Mode Sort' BC User Proerty which is set to FALSE at the Account BC level causes the sort feature to be removed from Account field in My Team's,All and All Across Organization Views.
And since the Search Feature looks at the highest visible views for a given user, in case of a user having All or All Across or My Team's views, the data returned will not be sorted.
Please suggest on how we can work around this problem so that the resultant Data in case where a user has access to My Team's All or All Across Views gets sorted alphabetically.
Also as we can see from the attached Analysis, strangely, in spite of 'All Mode Sort' being missing from the Opportunity and Contact BC User Properties, in My Team's Contacts and My Team's Opportunities data is not getting sorted by Last Name and First Name(In case of Contacts) or by Name(In case of Opportunities).
