Archidev - External Business Components - No ODBC Datasource configuration steps when access to Oracle (Doc ID 525666.1)

Database: Oracle 9.2.0.6
Application Server OS: IBM AIX 5L 5.2

Symptoms

When go to a view based on External Business Component (EBC) for showing data from another DB, the SBL-DAT-00222 error occurs.

Configuration steps to reproduce the error:
1- Imported view definition and created the "table" in tools with data source object defined
2- Created simple EBC with 2 fields, Mapped column to system field ID, specified the Data Source
3- Specified the Server Config parameters as instructed, including the 'undocumented' DLL parameter
4- Created an applet and associated to a view

 While SQL Server and DB2 require ODBC datasource names (DSNs) to access the external database, for Oracle, the Siebel DLLs use native Oracle Connect Strings which reference an entry in the machine's tnsnames.ora file.
