In some cases (because of not yet clarified source) the HTTP/SSL exchange with "EAI HTTP Transport" (even server-only SSL-handshake) can crash the Siebel Application.
Following illustrate the occurence in Widows OS (so far the only reported platform for this case):
The issue seems limited to only Siebel CRM 7.7.x/7.8.x/8.0.x release and indicate an error condition during SSL-handshake, that could not be reported in the trace file.
The non-reproducible Bug <Bug:1718832> was filed to mark / record this case. for collection of further experience of this crash.
In case of encountering the crash of this kind, please follow the <Document:762002.1> to verify whether the SSL-handshake (HTTPS connection) could be established from the Siebel Application machine without any SSL-errors.
Also try to reproduced crash using Siebel Dedicated Web Client to simplify debugging of this problem (considering <Document:47511.1>).
