my customer would like to have the sort type like (1..9, A,a,B,b...Z,z). The oracle support told them that to obtain this behaviour they should change the NLS_SORT database parameter to GENERIC_BASELETTER from BINARY. While till know the application worked with the parameter set to BINARY, I would like to know if now this could cause any problem to system environment. Do you see any side effect to this??
Which are the supported values for this parameter??
PS: I will attach the complete listing of the v$nls_parameters.
Thanks and Regards
